Akkor description

Akkor — Turn‑based strategy in a 3D arena

Akkor is a two‑player, turn‑based strategy game where you control a star and a set of planets that drift along orbits inside a vivid 3D arena. Your goal is simple to state but rich to master: collide one of your planets with your opponent’s star. An important caveat: a planet you just placed that would hit the star on the very next check is destroyed instead of winning, keeping the game tense and precise.

How it works is elegant: in the placement phase each side may place up to three planets around their own star. Once both players confirm ready, the main game begins. After every turn, each planet advances along its orbit by the chosen step size. Planets don’t just chase the star — you can rotate your entire galaxy around the X, Y, or Z axis, or translate it in space to reposition your forces and block or set up hits.

On your turn you have several options: place a new planet by selecting its orbit position, direction, and step count; rotate your galaxy (X, Y, or Z); move your galaxy through space; or simply pass. If two planets collide, both are destroyed. The core moment is delivering a planet to the enemy star to win, which makes timing, positioning, and spatial thinking crucial.

Akkor supports multiple play modes: local multiplayer for two players on one PC, a single‑player mode against a strategic AI, and online multiplayer on Steam where you can host or join a friends‑only lobby for two players. The gameplay emphasizes quick, tactical decisions and careful planning, making the winning condition easy to explain but hard to master.

If you enjoy short, tightly focused strategy sessions that reward foresight and precise moves, Akkor offers Iingered complexity in compact rounds. The visuals use pixel art assets contributed by Deep‑Fold, adding a stylistic charm to the strategic gameplay.
