Prime Monster invites you to the Fractured Kingdom’s hallowed hallways where monsters wear suits and ambition wears a smile. As the newly crowned Prime Monster, you hold the fate of a tired nation in your hands and discover that politics here is a survival sport.

Policy cards form the battleground. Each card is a choice: unleash a measure now, or cash in Political Capital to empower your personal Tactics—special moves that shape the game far beyond a single vote. You can escalate by leaning into controversy, such as doubling down on past social posts, accepting free samples from an arms dealer, or tear-gassing your own housekeeper to test your grip on power.

30 despicable representatives from 15 parties stand between you and your agenda. From Nosferatu Files to decriminalising arson or same hex marriage, your policy slate is outrageous yet potentially lucrative. Your opponents will savage your ideas, your appearance, and your past while the public and your own party pull in different directions. The stakes are high and the clock is always ticking.

Characterful archetypes: Chopper Badstone of Orcs-4-U; Viscount Sucksworth of Vampiric Victory; Rotilda De Cay of The Zombified People's Movement. You can play as any of these three, or switch between them as the political tide shifts.

Mechanics: Every card offers a policy outcome, but you can choose to weaponize it for Political Capital. Political Capital fuels your Tactics—powerful, game-altering moves you can deploy to tilt debates, leak scandals, or bully rivals.

Goals and constraints: Maintain personal authority, maximize Political Capital, keep a rising poll rating, and balance cash flow. The public wants impossible promises; your party wants the impossible to become reality; opponents want you out of power. To endure, you must manage resources while navigating a deadly game of influence.

Debates are a battlefield where decorum is optional. If you dislike what an adversary says, you could silence them—provided you dodge the Shrieker of the House’s watchful eye. And yes, you can resort to extreme measures to steal initiative: you can even have opponents killed, but risk exposure and consequences.

Difficulty scales as you escalate pledges, risking credibility with a gullible electorate. If your party loses faith, you may be forced to resign in a spectacular failure.
