Core Of Havoc description
Core of Havoc — Overview
Core of Havoc is a single‑player, real‑time 2D space combat experience that blends precise ship handling with deep, affix‑driven itemization. You pilot a modular ship through procedurally generated missions where every decision—from the parts you equip to the way you maneuver—defines your path to survival.
Expressive Ship Customization: Your ship is your class. Build your loadout using a modular system of chassis, engines, stabilizers, and weapons. An affix system fuels creative synergies, so no two ships feel or perform the same.
Strategic Corebound Mechanics: Core Power is a shared resource used for both weapons and powerful Corebound affixes. These active tools must be chosen and enabled in the hangar, forcing you to balance your energy budget against your build strategy.
Visually Readable Chaos: Combat states, affix effects, and ship statuses are communicated through a consistent, affix‑driven visual language. From blue shield flickers to fiery overcharged trails, you’ll learn to react instinctively to battlefield cues.
Moment-to-Moment Mastery: Victory isn’t only about raw DPS. It’s about mastering the rhythm of your build. Execute satisfying combos by boosting through enemies, applying burn affixes, and firing finishing cannons in fluid, momentum‑based combat.
Procedural Missions & Constant Progression: Embark on 30‑minute runs through branching space maps filled with glowing anomalies and dangerous asteroid belts. Collect loot, discover new affixes, and evolve your ship between sessions with a risk‑versus‑reward structure that rewards mastery without punishing failure.
The Game Loop
Hangar Phase: Modify your ship configuration, swap collected parts, and use resources to upgrade or reroll affixes.
Mission Run: Launch into a mission from the map, fight through control points and environmental hazards to secure rare loot.
Extraction: Successfully extract to keep your rewards.
Progression: Use your findings to push into higher Mission Difficulty Ratings, unlocking more powerful components and more complex challenges.
