Apple of my Eye description

Apple of my Eye

Apple of my Eye follows Appril, an Apple Snail who is labeled the “weird” student in high school. Autistic and transgender, she is often ignored or bullied, yet she refuses to hide who she is. Her world is small but deeply personal: her sibling and a thriving brood of caterpillars, which she adores and can name by species. Those fuzzy friends are a powerful comfort and a reminder that belonging can be found in unlikely places. In this school, social standing revolves around Poppi the Butterfly—perfect in appearance, quick with a quip, and perceived as harmless—yet she wields her influence to intimidate Appril, leaving her feeling invisible.

Enter Sylver the Spider, a pupil who longs for popularity but carries her own quiet turmoil. She admires Poppi’s social power while secretly sharing Appril’s struggles with being neurodivergent and with a budding interest in worms. The two soon form a cautious friendship, even as Sylver navigates the line between aligning with Poppi’s bullying and staying true to herself. Poppi’s drama looms large, threatening to pull everyone into a cycle of cruelty—unless Appril and Sylver choose a different path.

Apple of my Eye blends slice-of-life RPG mechanics with psychological horror. You’ll guide Appril through everyday tasks—fishing, shopping, and town quests—while steering conversations and ethics in a world where choices matter. Relationships shift based on your decisions, unlocking multiple endings that reveal Appril’s future. When a serious, tragic event rocks her life, you must cope, respond, and face the consequences of your actions. The game invites you to explore resilience, friendship, and the weight of nonconformity in a high school landscape that can be overwhelming.

The experience is built for a mature audience, addressing themes such as ableism, transphobia, death and grief, blood and gore, strong language, and intense psychological tension. If these topics are challenging, proceed with caution. Apple of my Eye aims to provide a deeply personal narrative about finding support, choosing solidarity over cruelty, and discovering a future that embraces who Appril really is—alongside her beloved caterpillars, her sister, and the friends who stand by her side.
