Starshot Genesis is a fast-paced first-person space combat arcade shooter set in a harsh 3D cosmos where your goal is to survive as long as possible and climb the leaderboard.

Core Gameplay

Pilot your ship through open space, Strafing and dodging in full 3D while aiming with the mouse and guiding your ship with the WASD keys, plus Shift and Space for vertical movement. You start with twin cannons and earn weapon upgrades every 500 points, unlocking up to five tiers so you grow stronger the longer you last.

Enemies & Progression

Enemies burst from portals in packs with varied tactics: strafers sweep across lanes, interceptors rush in to punish mistakes, and upgraded variants come with traits like being armored, firing faster, or standing as elites. Increasing your weapon tier and score raises the density and ferocity of these packs, pushing you toward tougher battles and longer runs.

Movement, Abilities & Shields

Beyond standard movement you have a Boost (right mouse button) and a Warp that adds forward speed while steering with the mouse. The Ultimate ability provides a shield overcharge burst on a long cooldown. Shields soak hits and recharge after a delay, while health regenerates when you avoid damage for a period of time.

Objectives & Difficulty

The aim is simple: survive and maximize your score. As you accrue points, the difficulty scales with more enemies and tougher packs, and higher weapon tiers grant you the edge needed to endure longer runs. Sessions can range from a few minutes to extended play sessions based on your skill.

Audio & Atmosphere

Immerse yourself in a pulsing soundtrack by Christoffer Moe Ditlevsen and Torque, with custom sound effects for upgrades, rail cannons, low health, ultimate readiness, warp, and kills to heighten the sense of speed and danger.

Leaderboard & Controls

Play online on the leaderboard to compare high scores, while offline progress remains saved locally. Controls: WASD to move, Space/Shift for vertical, mouse to aim, left click to fire, right click to boost. The HUD displays score, health, shield, weapon level, kills, and the status of boost, warp, and ultimate.
