Positioning matters: Rooks move in straight lines, Bishops travel diagonally, Knights hop into decisive lanes, and every engagement reshapes the board. When a unit falls, your King takes morale damage, and the attacker claims the fallen unit’s square for free, opening new routes to victory. Pawns marching toward the enemy back rank can Promote mid-battle into mighty Mercenaries, instantly transforming the battlefield.

Resourceful play centers on the Sigil system. Your actions come at a cost that scales with use: the first move costs 1 Sigil, the second costs 2, and the third costs 3. Plan your turn with care, because Sigils grow in strength with ambition and missteps can leave you light on options while your opponent presses the advantage.

Card-based armory and options give you strategic versatility. Spend Sigils to summon Mercenaries with unique abilities, equip them with powerful gear, or unleash the Queen—an exceptionally potent unit you can deploy to fit the moment.
