Knuckle Is Bones description
Knuckle Is Bones
A compact fan-made dice duel inspired by the Knucklebones minigame from Cult of the Lamb, with a visual vibe reminiscent of Baba Is You. The focus is on rolling dice, building big combos, and using destruction to disrupt your opponent’s scoring potential.
The game currently includes a lineup of content to challenge you: 6 opponents, 6 dice, and 10 boards, plus several upgrades to boost your power as you climb the ranks. It is also fully moddable, letting you add boards, dice, opponents, shop items, textures, and more.
A shop system rewards victory with points that unlock new dice and larger boards. These points drive progression and replay value, while AI opponents scale with different score multipliers to match their difficulty.
The project embraces accessibility: you can play with a mouse, keyboard, gamepad, or a mix of inputs. On gamepad, the game accepts input for controllers 1 through 4 only.
How to Play
- The play is turn-based. On your turn, roll a single six-sided die and place it into a column on your board. A column that is full cannot receive more dice.
- Each player’s score is the sum of all dice values on their board. If you place multiple dice of the same value in one column, the contribution of those dice is multiplied by their count in that column.
Example: a column containing 4, 1, 4 yields 4×2 + 1×1 + 4×2 = 17 for that column.
A key tactic is that when you place a die, all dice of the same value in the corresponding column on your opponent’s board are destroyed. This can wipe out high-scoring combos and swing the fight in your favor.
The game ends when one player completely fills their board. The player with the higher final score wins the duel. Victories grant points based on the score of the winning board. AI vs AI battles grant no points.
Ready for endless variety? The moddable design invites you to expand with new boards, dice, opponents, shop items, and texture changes—keeping the challenge fresh as you climb toward the top.
