Mix standard “Additive” damage with rare “Multiplicative” accelerators to stack multipliers until a single bullet becomes a wall of destruction. This isn’t just weight on stats — it’s engineering your own power curve and tearing holes in reality.

The overkill economy

Progress isn’t found in crates; it’s earned by how hard you hit. Deal excess damage to generate Rift Currency, a volatile resource you’ll burn to snag unauthorized upgrades mid-run. Watch real-time indicators: the pink line tracks your damage, the orange line the Shift Manager System pressing you from above. Keep the pink above the orange, or your shift may end — and you’ll have to start over, probably.

Tactical chaos

The horde isn’t random. Enemies arrive in Tactical Squads designed to corner you and exhaust your cover. A Shift Manager System watches your every move, tightening the screws if you rush too fast and forcing moments to regroup if you struggle. Precision and pacing keep you alive long enough to reach the Workshop.

Dash-Bang combat

Movement is a resource and your dash is a weapon. Slam through enemies to trigger on-hit effects and clear space when your gun jams. Quick reflexes and mobility redefine combat, letting you thread through danger and keep the offense going.

Nepotism has its perks

Return to the Workshop after a shift and you won’t unlock generic stats — you’ll win favors from family. The CEO (your grandma) oversees the operation and pays out after Performance Reviews. The Armorer unlocks rift-found weapons. The Mechanic overclocks shields to explode on impact (voiding warranties). The Logistics Officer may grant access to legendary mods in the field. The Scout maps the rifts and assigns the cleaning job. It’s a family business, with upgrades tied to trust, bribes, and a bit of luck.
