When Michel is drawn into a high-stakes diplomatic ceremony with the eastern Vanguardia Empire, the fragile peace is shattered. The assassination of General Jonathan, a representative of the Imperial Army, becomes the spark that ignites broader conflict. Three months later, war erupts as the emperor uses the incident to justify aggression, dragging Mistral and its allies into a dangerous and expanding crisis.
