Souper Bloody is a roguelite hack‑and‑slash that drops you into the grotesque, bootleg kitchen of the Underlasagne. You play as Xylo William Phone, a demon who calls the lowest layer his home. After a vegetable cult accidentally summons him to the surface, he blazes back toward the core with one aim: make them pay. Cranky, ravenous, and impossibly furious, he turns every bite into a chance to torment his captors and descend deeper into the nightmare.

Core gameplay centers on brutal melee where movement happens through the blood of your enemies. You slash, dash, and chain attacks as you shred through waves of foes who stand between you and the depths. Expect encounters with cults of rotten vegetables and other food‑fueled horrors, all determined to stop your descent and defend their culinary realm.

The loop thrives on vertical progression. Between runs you upgrade your stats and tailor your build, unlocking perks that influence how you fight. During battle you’ll discover enhancements that boost damage, speed up your movements, or alter how you interact with the bloody battlefield. Each run spawns a fresh, procedurally generated layer of the Underlasagne, so no two descents are the same and every decision shapes how far you can push toward the core.

The game blends dark humor with a feverish, culinary grotesque backdrop. As you carve a path through the layers, the line between vengeance and monstrous power blurs, culminating in the iconic moment to embrace your fate: become John Souper Bloody.

Origin and credits: Souper Bloody was created by six students as a group project for Digital Arts & Entertainment at Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen in Belgium. The music was composed by Joshua Mas, while the narrative was crafted by Elise Himbaza Iradukunda, bringing a quirky, kitchen‑nightmare atmosphere to life.
