Ballgame description
Ballgame
Ballgame redefines golf as a bonkers, chaotic, merciless, and rewarding physics playground. You don’t simply hit the ball—you are the ball. Play as Dolf, a newly sentient golf orb who smashes, bounces, and grinds through high-stakes tournaments and physics-bending parlor games. At its core, the objective is straightforward: get from the tee to the hole in as few shots as possible. Yet the experience unfolds on handcrafted courses where platforming segments, moving platforms, and clever traps test timing and nerve. Every course invites you to think in new dimensions: angles bend, surfaces react, and momentum carries you into uncharted climbs, drops, and loops. Precision and momentum combine into a single, ruthless rhythm.
Layered on top of golf is a love letter to pinball, pachinko, and skee-ball. You don’t just aim; you anticipate flippers, bumpers, and timing windows that prod your ball into unlikely paths. Leadboards track your performance across multi-course tournaments, pushing you to shave strokes and chase perfect runs. While the core rules stay simple—the fewer shots the better—the routes you discover are imaginative, often decided by a well-timed ricochet, a bounce around a corner, or a gravity-defying roll. Happy accidents frequently unlock surprising shortcuts and angles you never expected to exploit.
In the Parlor, chaos becomes arcade-grade challenge. This arcade-style collection of minigames blends skill with probability, offering bite-sized challenges that test reflexes, timing, and risk assessment. Each trip to the Parlor earns Figment, Ballgame’s currency, and that currency fuels rapid customization, upgrades, and new equipment. There are over 99 balls to unlock and discover, each with distinct handling, quirks, and cosmetic flair. Build your arsenal to suit your preferred approach—tune shot power, unlock new bodies and trails, and equip effects that alter how your ball interacts with surfaces and obstacles. The mix of handcrafted courses and zany minigames ensures no two runs feel the same.
Ballgame is developed by Human Computer and planned for release later in 2026. A Steam demo is planned in the coming months, inviting players to shape the final product with ideas and feedback. The team reads every submission in the Steam Community Hub and on social channels, promising to listen and iterate. Get ready to stay on the ball, conquer tournaments, and prove you can master a chaos-driven golf world where skill, timing, and creativity collide.
