ASCII-RIFT description
ASCII-RIFT
ASCII-RIFT is a fast, reactive, music-driven arcade experience where danger rises with the tempo. Hazards are generated directly from the music itself, so your survival depends on staying in sync with the track. If you don’t move in time with the beat, you die.
Two core modes for different playstyles
Chart Mode focuses on scoring through a music-centered run. The track and its lanes intensify as the song progresses, challenging you to weave through hazards and reach the end of the track without a mistake. Precision, rhythm, and timing determine your score and your success.
RIFT MODE delivers escalating procedural loops for endless play. The challenge scales as you level up, forcing you to adapt to increasingly complex patterns. There is no permanent progression—only skill and mastery. Each run resets after failure, inviting you to improve and push further with every attempt.
Tactile customization and replayability
The game ships with 10 original WAV tracks that set the tempo and the layout of hazards. You can also drop your own .wav files into the music folder to generate entirely new runs automatically, letting you bring your own soundtrack into the challenge.
Bring your own soundtrack to tailor the battlefield and its pacing. The music drives the danger, so different songs create fresh patterns and require new strategies.
