Frog Telephone description
蛙電話 Frog Telephone
“Did we create God to forget, or does God's existence make us forget where we came from?” — Welcome to Computational Reality.
In this phone-based puzzle adventure, you step into the shoes of Kaeru Kana (加恵瑠奏), a Tokyo-based phone operator at a travel agency who wakes with a veil of amnesia. The city carries on around him, but strange echoes linger in every moment: a mysterious man on a crowded train platform, a ghostly call that comes in the dead of night, and a frog-like presence that seems to shadow his steps.
To reclaim a sense of normalcy and uncover the truth behind the fragments of memory, Kana chooses to return to his hometown—Gero, a place wrapped in quiet mystery within Gifu Prefecture. Yet the homecoming is anything but peaceful. What awaits him is a revelation that should never be revealed, threatening to upend everything he thinks he knows.
What you do matters: every phone call, every message, and every choice you make delicately twists the path of Kana’s journey. The narrative unfolds through interactions carried by the phone itself, turning ordinary conversations into clues, red herrings, and pivotal turning points.
As Kana traverses urban legends and whispers of the past, the boundary between reality and memory blurs. The eerie atmosphere, cryptic signals, and the unsettling frog presence all converge to push him toward a truth that challenges the very meaning of memory, identity, and fate.
