SwingCat: Swing Me to the Moon?
Take control of a glowing world and master gravity in a fast, arcade challenge. Realistic gravitational pull bends every asteroid’s path as you tilt and nudge with precise mouse movements. Miss a shot, and the asteroid smashes into you—game over for Earth’s orbit, and you’ll have to start again.
The gravity system uses custom physics with a soft inverse-power falloff, so every tiny mouse move shifts a trajectory. Your success depends on timing and precision as you guide incoming rocks into enemy planets and climb the score ladder.
Build chains with every hit and watch your visuals evolve. Each asteroid transforms through color stages—from plain white to sky blue, to gold, to crimson, and finally to a dazzling rainbow at max combo. Higher combos unlock bigger score multipliers and more dramatic effects.
A mysterious UFO bonus appears every 30–60 seconds. Hit it to activate a golden aura that triples your score multiplier for 8 seconds, accompanied by flames and pulsing energy.
Four distinct modes offer different challenges:
- Normal Mode — Endless survival against waves of asteroids.
- Timed Mode — 120 seconds to rack up as many points as you can.
- Cat Mode — Enemies become adorable cats (names like Mochi, Tofu, Wasabi). Max combo triggers Nyan Cat music and rainbow trails.
- Chaos Mode — Defeated cats stay on screen, growing bigger and heavier until the screen is crowded with cats.
In Cat Mode you can customize your feline allies. Choose from 30 preset cat names or type your own (up to 12 characters). Each cat receives a quirky personality such as “Expert napper” or “Afraid of cucumbers,” adding charm to the chaos.
Features include 8 enemy planet types inspired by real solar system bodies (Jupiter through Pluto), a combo-driven visuals system with dynamic color shifts, particle explosions, screen shake, and a gravity lens shader for extra depth.
Enjoy retro pixel art aesthetics with the classic PressStart2P feel, original synthesized sound effects, and full keyboard plus mouse support. The game runs in a resizable window or fullscreen, with a local Top 10 leaderboard to brag about your orbiting prowess.
SwingCat: Swing Me to the Moon? is a gravity-based arcade where quick reflexes, strategic aiming, and a love of chaos collide. Ready to swing toward the Moon and leave a trail of cosmic color in your wake?
