Paozhong Legend

Inspired by high school memories, Paozhong Legend blends real-life echoes with a compelling fantasy quest. You play as one of four students from Paozhong who are drawn into a parallel world called Paozhong Academy. This academy mirrors your own high school but is corrupted by a malevolent force that twists every corridor, classroom, and clue. To return to the real world, you must move through this strange realm, interact with classmates and teachers, and collect the right items to overcome a variety of challenges.

Story and Setting

The adventure unfolds in the first half of 2024, as the protagonist nears the college entrance exams. A simple plan to chat with a friend spirals into an otherworldly journey through a world built from books and memories. Your mission is to restore order, free the corrupted instructors, and find a path back home. The world evolves with your choices, and the fate of the story can bend depending on whom you ally with and what decisions you make along the way.

Gameplay Overview

Paozhong Legend uses turn-based combat to balance strategy with story. Fight monsters and hostile forces to gain experience and money, strengthening your squad for tougher challenges ahead. Shops scattered across the world let you purchase gear and items that boost each member’s abilities and unlock new options during battles. The way you act in conversations and in exploration matters—wise decisions can avoid battles, unlock alternate paths, or reveal hidden rewards.

You will team up with three companions; together you navigate dungeons, solve puzzles, and uncover clues that reveal the truth behind the corruption. Each of the four students brings unique skills and perspectives, and synergy between your party’s strengths is key to overcoming obstacles. Your choices shape multiple outcomes, including the direction of the main plot and the ending you reach.

Progression emphasizes growth and consequence: gain experience to level up the party, earn money to invest in gear, and collect items—relics, tools, and study aids—that empower your squad and unlock dialogue options. Your decisions influence not only individual tasks but the overall arc of the story, offering multiple pathways through the bookish labyrinth.
