Dorts : A Darts Roguelike description
Dorts: A Darts Roguelike
In a cozy pub, step up to the oche and find out how hard darts can be when the universe itself seems to conspire against you. Dorts combines first‑person throwing with a brutal roguelike gauntlet where every leg sacks you with pressure, smoke, and a crowd that won’t stop cheering—or jeering.
Each run is a never-ending (until you lose) climb through 501. Beat your opponent, draft an upgrade, pick a mutator, and face the next challenger—each one meaner than the last. By leg five, you’ll be throwing through changing conditions that test aim, nerves, and timing.
What you’ll do
Experience satisfying first‑person throwing with natural sway. It’s easy to pick up, but brutal to master. Adjust your challenge with three control difficulties—Normal, Pro, and Insane—to push your precision to the limit. After each leg you’ll choose from upgrades and mutators that reshape how you play, then press on to the next foe.
- 13 upgrades to draft after every leg, including Steady Hand, Big Bull, Fourth Arrow, Glass Cannon, Mulligan, and more.
- 12 disruptions that shake the board and your focus: smoke clouds, spotlight flashes, magnetic pull, jitters, reversed controls, and the board wobble. Sometimes the lights go out—keep throwing.
- 5 leg mutators to change the rules before each leg: Sprint, High Stakes, Double In, Disruption Roulette, plus another twist that tests your adaptability.
- 10 opponents with character and precision—from Pub Dave to Tungsten Tony—who don’t miss and don’t flatter you for misses.
Multiplayer and accessibility
Steam multiplayer lets you challenge a friend or play a random in Standard 501 or full Roguelike PvP. Best of 5, upgrades and all—every match feels like a fresh run. Runs are short and replayable, typically 10–15 minutes, perfect for a quick “one more go.” Multiple control schemes are supported—Default, Pro (with power meter), and Insane—plus full controller support.
No microtransactions, no season passes—just you, three darts, and a board that won’t stop moving. The Pub awaits.
