Tower.defense(): Program The Fight description

Tower.defense(): Program The Fight

Stop clicking. Start coding your defense. In this tower defense, you don’t just place turrets—you program how they think. Using visual code blocks, you design how each turret picks targets, when they fire, and how they react to different enemy types. No coding experience is required: drag and drop logic blocks to craft your own defense strategy, then watch your code fight for you.

How it works is simple to grasp, yet powerful in practice. Each turret comes with its own code editor. Open it, drag blocks in, and define behavior. Examples spark your imagination:

  • Shoot nearest: a one-block program that fires at the closest foe.
  • IF enemy is Metal AND hp > 50 → Shoot strongest: add conditional depth.
  • IF ANY enemy is Boss → Shoot first ELSE Shoot nearest
  • WHERE NOT Camouflage: target tricky enemies with care.

Turrets execute your logic every tick. If your code is off, results are off—no help from the game happens automatically. This is real programming practice in a safe, visual form.

Core concepts are built into the blocks: IF/ELSE IF/ELSE, AND, OR, NOT; comparisons like >, <, =, !=; quantifiers such as ANY; selectors like nearest, farthest, first, last, weakest, strongest; and enemy tags including Boss, Metal, Rapid, Solid, and Camouflage. It’s no compiler required—just assemble logic blocks and run.

Key features include designing turret behavior from scratch, no upgrade trees or auto-aim, and the challenge of facing diverse enemy waves with varied tags and stats. As waves get harder, you’ll optimize and refine your logic, save powerful turret programs, and reuse them across levels.

Who is this for? Tower defense fans who crave deeper play than click-and-upgrade, curious minds eager to learn programming concepts through gameplay, and players who enjoy solving problems in their own way. If you want to craft strategic AI and watch it battle the threats you design, this is your arena.
