AI Society is an idle simulation where every character is powered by a real local AI model. There are no scripted routines or predetermined story arcs—just a group of people with minds, living their lives in a town you create. You design the townsfolk, you set the stage, and then you watch what happens.

Build your village of minds

• You can create up to 25 unique characters and define who they are.
• Set personality traits—peaceful, hardworking, extroverted, generous, playful, dominant, and more.
• Give them hobbies like fishing, wood carving, or leatherworking.
• Write a freeform description to shape worldview and backstory.
• Choose appearance and gender to create a recognizable cast.

A living world that thinks for itself

Once the town is set, the AI takes over. The characters are fully autonomous and drive every aspect of daily life:

• Find jobs, fill roles in the town’s economy, and manage money, hunger, and rest.
• Form relationships—some warm, some tense—driven by personality and interactions.
• Post thoughts, reactions, and confrontations on Ye Social Media, the in‑game feed.
• Visit neighbors’ homes and farms, or gather at the tavern.
• Engage in conflicts and, in some cases, die permanently, altering the town’s balance.

AI Society runs entirely on your machine using Ollama. No internet, no subscriptions, no data leaves your device. Choose a model that fits your hardware:

• Llama 3.2 1B — Lightweight, runs on almost anything.
• Llama 3.1 8B — Recommended for the richest character quality and depth.
• Gemma 2 2B — An alternative lightweight option.

Every conversation, every social post, every decision is generated live by the selected model. There is no winning or losing. No set objectives—just a living, breathing society of AI-driven characters building lives, friendships, drama, and sometimes meeting their end.
