Linebound description

Linebound

Linebound is a local, asymmetric co-operative puzzle platform game designed for two players. One player becomes the Artist, drawing platforms directly into the pages of a living sketchbook in real time. The other player is Sketch, a hand-drawn character who is brought to life inside the book and must hop through its puzzles and platforms. They need each other to progress, and the world can only be traversed when both perspectives work in harmony.

The Artist views the world from the outside, while Sketch lives inside it. The core loop is intuitive and easy to learn: communicate, trust, and cooperate to place and navigate platforms, react to unexpected moves, and guide Sketch to each exit. The game emphasizes player-to-player interaction as the driving force behind every solution.

Set inside a hand-drawn sketchbook, Linebound combines pencil-scratched environments with crayon-colored platforms and doodled creatures. The charm lies in its approachable art style and the way the world feels hand-crafted as you improvise together in real time.

  • Asymmetric local co-op — two players, two distinct perspectives, one shared goal.
  • Real-time platform drawing — the Artist sketches new paths and footholds on the fly to shape the route forward.
  • 18 hand-crafted puzzle levels inside a living sketchbook world, each designed to test coordination and communication.
  • Hand-drawn art style with pencil characters and crayon environments that bring the notebook to life.
  • Built around communication and cooperation — trust and precise guidance are essential to cross every challenge.

Note: Online play is not built-in. To play with others online, you’ll need Steam Remote Play Together or Parsec to connect and share the experience.
