Masterworks of Horror: The Prologue is a real-time, PvP card battler where you wage a literary duel using cards drawn from famous horror authors and their iconic worlds. Every match is a battle of storytelling and strategy, where your words become weapons and your deck becomes a legend.

Craft Your Own Story

Pick from a vast catalog of cards featuring legendary characters, atmospheric settings, and pivotal events from roughly two centuries of fearsome fiction. Combine these elements to forge powerful Masterworks that reflect your storytelling vision. By mixing archetypes and leveraging synergies, you create a unique narrative force capable of turning the tide of any literary battle.

Battle Your Foes

Test your tales in the arena of Literary Battles. Learn your opponent’s habits, exploit weaknesses, and deploy your best Masterwork to dominate the arena rankings. The goal is to defend your line while advancing your own story across the board, pushing toward victory through clever card play and timely tactics.

Keyword System

Cards feature keywords that grant unique abilities, enabling rich synergies between archetypes inspired by the masters themselves. Build interactions that amplify your strengths and disrupt your opponent’s plans. The keyword system is the engine behind dynamic, evolving battles where every card matters.

Legendary Authors

Edgar Allan Poe, the Master of the Macabre, taps into death-driven mechanics. His “Evermore” ability lets Masterworks persist by returning cards to your deck for continuous draws, enabling you to keep your narrative alive as characters fall.

H.P. Lovecraft, father of cosmic horror, invites you to awaken terrifying gods with added effects as your knowledge grows. Use his power to unfold cosmic horrors that bend reality and seize control of the board.

Trapped Authors

Many more masters await, trapped within the Necronomicon. They arrive with limited powers through the “Erase” keyword, allowing them to strip keywords and abilities from opposing cards. Free them by outsmarting the constraints and reclaiming their full strength to change the course of the battle.

Prepare your Masterworks, sharpen your narratives, and prove you are the true master of horror in this vibrant blend of lore, tactics, and legendary storytelling.
