The Beekeeper description

Protect what matters. The Beekeeper is a fast, systemic strategy puzzle about scarcity and timing. You place hives on a hex grid to support nearby flowers, and coverage depends on distance: too far and flowers decay; too close and they won’t be attended.

Each hive can support only a limited number of flowers, and dead flowers don’t return to the hive. Some flower species collapse faster than others, forcing you to prioritize and adapt under pressure. You can’t save everything—part of the challenge is choosing what to protect as resources dwindle.

One Tactical Pause per map lets you reorganize the layout when time is tight. There are no instant feedback loops: recovery after a layout change takes time, and even a well-placed setup may yield slow returns or be too late to prevent losses.

Maps are short and demanding: each run lasts between 30 and 90 seconds, pushing you to make fast, precise decisions. You’ll retry, optimize, and try to improve your outcome with every attempt.

Gameplay emphasizes clear, readable systems and sharp prioritization under pressure. The Beekeeper is designed for players who enjoy strategic prioritization, spatial optimization, high-pressure problem solving, and elegant mechanics that reward careful planning.

  • Hex grid placement that defines precise coverage and limits for each hive
  • Dynamic scarcity with real consequences as flowers decay and cannot be recovered
  • Fast-paced maps that demand quick assessment and decisive action
  • A single tactical pause per map to rethink the structure and adapt
