The Cat that fears pain fights through a world of danger using cards that hurt her first—because that’s the only path back to her family. Each step is a test of nerve as she pushes forward, embracing the hurt to win.

This is a roguelike deck-builder where most cards deal damage to you, one way or another. You must juggle your deck and outplay enemies to survive long enough to collect the right tools. Your starter hand is chosen at the start of each run, and every encounter adds at least one new card to your evolving deck.

• Deck on the fly: Build and adapt your deck as you go. Each fight reshapes your options and forces tough decisions about which cards to keep, upgrade, or sacrifice.
• Roguelike run design: Every run features a fresh set of enemies, rooms, cards, and mutations. Not only are layouts random, but mutations introduce new twists that change how you approach each encounter.
• Permanent reset with perilous stakes: When you die, The Cat is sent back to the start, and the Devil himself laughs as all collected cards burn away. Each run is a new climb, with memories only in your evolving deck and talismans.

Progression and card collection: Between biomes you can send cards home to equip them at the start of the next Run. This lets you tailor the early deck to your preferred strategy and the challenges ahead. Cards you gather remain part of your evolving toolkit, shaping future attempts.

Talisman system: Equip talismans that grant card synergies and passive bonuses. The Devil doesn’t burn these, recognizing them as something special, giving you additional options to fuse into your approach.

Environment and theme: Traverse through woods, mines, and plunge into literal Hell. The journey blends dark storytelling with fast, tactical card play as you race against fear and fate.
