Perfect Execution description
Perfect Execution
A roguelike RPG where a single hit ends you. Yet through strategy, stacking buffs, and turn manipulation, you can chain devastating combos and reclaim control in a reinvented turn-based combat system.
In a world of prisons, three are condemned to death: The Sword, a soldier who defected from duty; The Shade, a ranger who stole what wasn’t theirs; and The Stave, a scholar who refused to conceal a truth. A ritual of judgment awaits them, a formality that ends with their execution—unless they exploit a flaw in the ritual: bury your judges, and you bury your sentence, too.
How you fight matters more than how you die. Survive trial after trial until no judge remains, and your execution is undone.
Core mechanics at a glance:
- Slay your judges — Your sentence dies with them. Each run challenges you to endure through successive trials as the clock ticks toward your fate.
- Filibuster your fate — Each party member can act once before their slated death, unless you bend fate by stacking turns to gain extra actions and tempo.
- Kill beyond kill — Overkill damage—damage dealt past an enemy’s HP—powers the next moves and sustains your combat momentum.
- Perfect execution — One decisive moment can seal your fate; craft the right sequence, and return judgment with precision.
Play as a trio with distinct playstyles: the Sword’s frontline power, the Shade’s tactical control, and the Stave’s cunning support. Their abilities weave together as you manipulate turn order, apply buffs, and unleash combo chains that bend the flow of battle. Each run presents procedurally generated trials, delivering new layouts, enemies, and opportunities to stack power in inventive ways.
You will die often, but each death teaches you to push further. Manage scarce actions, exploit ritual flaws, and turn overkill into fuel for your next move. Perfect Execution challenges you to balance risk and timing, execute with flawless precision, and rewrite your sentence with a perfect, decisive finish.
