HARSH REIGNS is a roguelike, single-player RPG designed for simple mouse-only controls. You push forward through dangerous lands, defeat monsters with the items you collect, and strive to reach the ultimate goal. Character growth comes from leveling, mastery, equipment effects, and class changes, enabling a wide range of distinct builds. Throughout your journey, you’ll face constant decisions about which items to keep or discard, shaping every run.

Story: On a distant planet, a world is threatened by encroaching monsters. A lone traveler quests for the truth behind the assassination of the capital’s king and moves toward a remote frontier town to uncover the conspiracy at the heart of the realm.

Battle system: Battles are controlled with simple item clicks, yet offer deep strategy across close-, mid-, and long-range combat. Read the enemy’s intent—will they close in, or unleash a powerful attack on the spot? Choose the right items at the right moment to turn the tide of battle in your favor.

Items and progression: Weapons have durability; using them until they break grows your mastery, while cursed weapons are immensely powerful but break their abilities when destroyed. Magic strengthens with use, but its MP cost rises until it becomes difficult to control. You’ll constantly decide whether to replace gear with stronger weapons or value useful consumables. You can also enhance equipment, imbue elements, and perform synthesis to forge your own original weapons and accessories.

Build system: Leveling up, mastery growth, class changes, item development, and permanent stat upgrades in town shape your tactical approach. The game offers a highly flexible character build system, inviting you to tailor your path and develop a unique playstyle for each run.
