Binded Souls description

Binded Souls

Binded Souls fuses history with myth in a narrative‑driven action adventure where a machine‑driven future collides with the living past. Players master powers drawn from Bulgarian folklore to survive the year 2252 and to uncover how today’s choices determine the battles of tomorrow. The game centers on the story of two souls bound by a single curse, guided by sayings that determine their path and the fate of a city that must endure a fragile balance between obscurity and order.

Two intertwined protagonists guide the journey. Alexander works with data, systems, and models destined to be controlled; curiosity pushes him forward, yet every step is deliberate, calculated, and intentional. Elena handles archives and digital records, noticing what others skip and safeguarding what others delete. She treats information as a thread that holds the past intact and the future legible, even when the world tries to erase it.

Set in Neo Sofia, a city redesigned for precision and scale, architecture rises vertically and burrows beneath the surface, guided by autonomous planning systems. AI‑controlled drones oversee streets, borders, and infrastructure, identifying irregularities and intervening before instability escalates. Life remains undeniably physical—people meet in shared spaces and routines are shaped by habit—while the city’s efficiency hums beneath every surface.

The Past courses through the present in a lineage of battles that defined a nation: the April Uprising of 1876, the stalwart defense at Shipka Pass, and the steadfast stand at Doiran. These memories become living forces, shaping what the two souls must confront and how the world answers when threatened.

Bulgarian Mythology bursts into the narrative with formidable beings: Prahlyandia (Kikimora), a house spirit of soot and dust whose scream crawls through walls; Spas (Zmei), a winged presence circling the high ridgelines, hungry for what lies beyond; Vechernica (Sister of the Sun), who commands the last glow of dusk; and Bistara (Samodiva), whose moonlit songs lure and test travelers. Each entity tests loyalties, reshapes choices, and alters outcomes as the curse tightens.

Binded Souls weaves together intimate storytelling, mythic powers, and a future built on data and oversight. The sayings that guide the two souls determine which battles unfold, where they take place, and who stands at the threshold of fate. It is a saga of human presence amid automated control, where past wounds and ancient spirits dictate tomorrow’s struggles, and every decision echoes across city and legend alike.
