During fights, crews can be upgraded to gain stat bonuses that persist across the entire battle, letting you tailor tactics mid‑engagement.

After each clash, your crew marches into town where you recruit new pirates to bolster your ranks. Each fresh recruit expands your tactical options for the next battle, turning your ship into a living, evolving force. Before each expedition you select a Captain, a leader whose unique bonuses shape your starting crew. Captains level up to unlock additional starting crew members, widening your strategic reach. Many Captains are unlockable by completing specific challenges, inviting you to chase new feats across voyages and continually redefine your playstyle.
