Omnicore: Freiza's Retribution description
Omnicore: Freiza's Retribution
In Omnicore: Freiza's Retribution, a tyrant's vengeance sweeps the stars. A shattered galaxy summons you—the last spark of resistance—into a living war where five autonomous factions push outward in relentless waves. Build, battle, and barter across a procedurally generated empire to reclaim over 400 star systems and thwart an ultimatum that could rewrite history.
Every dawn begins a new frontier. Five AI factions expand every 21 days, testing loyalties and borders. Tax your vassals carefully, or they revolt. Ignore a frontier, and it dissolves into the void. There are three ways to lose, and exactly one way to win.
When night falls, the galaxy becomes hostile. More than 71 enemy types flood the darkness—from ground crawlers and wall‑phasing hunters to flying behemoths—culminating in 10 brutal bosses that can end your run. Build mazes, place towers, and craft on the battlefield; but if the enemies erase your work mid‑build, every plan collapses. Night ends only when every foe falls, or you do.
At dawn you dig the planet beneath. Each conquered world hides ore, oil, and diamonds. Drill through alien rock, lay pipe networks to hidden pockets, and deploy autonomous workers. The core orb—your haul’s glow—expires in 10 seconds. Deposit it or lose everything. The clock never stops.
When credits run dry, you trade. Real‑time Dutch auctions pit 20 NPC rivals against you. The Impulse Buyer snatches fast deals, the Shark bluffs high, the Calculator never overpays. 32 Fate Cards flip the table—Monopoly, Sabotage, Market Crash—and then the Bomb Draw. Draw sequential profit cards, but 15% are bombs. Push your luck, or walk away with nothing.
Faction pressure invades your space. Drop onto hostile planets across 14 biomes, each with unique hazards. Ice worlds that steal your footing, crystal caverns that reflect your shots, arenas that shrink to nothing. At the highest difficulty, 15 enemies spawn instantly, and the final waves hit with triple HP.
The conflict scales to space as well. Timeline‑based ship combat drives the action: both fleets race a shared bar—reach 100 first to act. Bullets cost 20 time units; lasers cost 70. Cloakers vanish and ambush for double damage; vampires drain hulls to heal themselves. To crush a faction HQ you face the Gauntlet—a gauntlet of up to 22 consecutive battles with no healing and a single loss ending your run.
Everything is connected: ore fuels the ship that reaches the auction, funds upgrades that let you survive the arena, which claims the planet you must defend when night returns. One galaxy. One war. It never stops.
