Safehouse: Afterfall description

Safehouse: Afterfall

Prepare. Raid. Extract. Build. Survive. Operate from a persistent safehouse on the edge of collapse. Gear up, enter hostile zones, scavenge what you can, and reach extraction before it’s too late. What you bring out strengthens your base. What you lose stays behind.

Core Concept

  • Persistent Safehouse: Your base stores recovered items in physical storage and grows through upgrades.
  • Self-contained Raids, Persistent World: Each mission is tight, but the world persists between raids, shaping your long-term progress.
  • Isolation and Collaboration: Optional Shared World lets players share the same environment, raid together or separately, and influence a common state.

Raid Gameplay

  • Enter dangerous zones filled with the infected and hostile threats; navigate buildings, streets, and confined interiors.
  • Manage line of sight and noise; carry limited gear based on weight and inventory space.
  • Secure loot by reaching extraction points; what you bring out strengthens your base, what you lose stays behind.
  • Leave your body and equipment in-world if you die, but you can reclaim gear by returning to the location.

Progression & Survival

Progression happens through the world, not the character alone. Store recovered items in the safehouse, then craft tools, ammo, and medical supplies. Upgrade workstations, expand capacity, and improve infrastructure to prep better loadouts for each raid.

Survival Systems

  • Stamina limits sprinting and combat; wounds require treatment and resources.
  • Inventory weight affects mobility; sound attracts enemies; visibility and positioning influence engagements.
  • Combat is direct—avoidance is viable when possible.

Character Loss & Co-op

Death removes your current survivor. A new survivor continues from the same safehouse, while corpses remain in raid zones. Progression continues through the evolving world, and gear can be reclaimed by returning to the location.

Co-op & Shared World

Optional Shared World lets multiple players inhabit the same persistent environment. Raid together or separately; actions shape shared state. Infrastructure and damage stay visible, and contribution does not require simultaneous play. The world tracks what players build and what they fail to protect.
