Phaze Shift is a kinetic Metroidvania that centers on two distinct protagonists, Aqua and Redd. Switch between Aqua, a melee specialist wielding a scythe, and Redd, a veteran with long-range weaponry. Each character offers a uniquely paced approach to combat and traversal, inviting players to master two very different playstyles within the same world.

Progress through the world by discovering chassis upgrades scattered across the Domain of Primora. These upgrades let you customize your abilities, and you can select the ones that fit your preferred approach. Fusion is a core mechanic: merge similar upgrades to forge new moves and special traits, creating hybrid tools that open up fresh tactical possibilities.

The gameplay interweaves classic platforming and Metroidvania staples with inventive twists. You’ll perform dashes, wall jumps, and slides, alongside charge slashes and other signature maneuvers. Beyond the familiar, Phaze Shift adds unique capabilities that push the genre forward, such as omni-directional air dashes, EMP shields, teleportation, and night visors—tools designed to alter how you navigate enemies, traps, and sprawling environments.

Explore the sprawling Domain of Primora, battling hostile forces, solving environmental puzzles, and uncovering the mysteries that lie between dimensions. Your journey culminates in reaching the Spire, a focal point where the fate of both Aqua and Redd—and the world itself—will be decided.
