Arkus — Alpha

Arkus is a fast-paced top-down action roguelike that blends tight movement with decisive progression. You dive into relentless waves of enemies where your survival hinges on positioning, timing, and smart decisions. Combat is streamlined but demanding: your weapons automatically attack, while you steer their direction with your mouse, leaving you free to dodge, weave, and adapt to ever-changing threats.

Every run challenges you to optimize your build as you progress. Each level-up offers meaningful choices that shape how you play, from increasing core stats to selecting powerful new weapons or collecting gems you can spend on upgrades. The loop rewards experimentation and careful planning, pushing you toward deeper strategies with every session.

Between runs, Arkus lets you reinforce your progress through the Profile system. Permanent upgrades carry over, unlocking new characters and weapons, and expanding your tactical toolkit. Earn achievements and climb the online leaderboard to measure yourself against players worldwide. An account is optional, but required to save progress online.

Exploration and Interactions

Explore a large, densely packed map filled with interactable content. You’ll encounter:

• Chest — discover loot and equipment alongside your progression.
• Sanctuary — grants percentage-based stat bonuses to amplify your chosen build.
• Fountain — provides fixed stat bonuses to stabilize and reinforce your strategy.

Characters, Weapons, and Progression

Arkus features multiple playable characters, each bringing unique bonuses and flavor to the run. Some characters unlock exclusive skins and assist with dedicated playstyles. Weapons can be unlocked, upgraded, and combined with the gem economy to refine your approach to combat.

Competition and Future Updates

Survive as long as possible, optimize your build, and prove mastery against others on the online leaderboard. Progress online through an optional account, with ongoing updates and new content planned to expand choices, challenges, and features in future updates.
