Maiden Hand description

Maiden Hand

Maiden Hand blends tower defense, deckbuilding, and roguelike progression to defend four princesses from relentless goblin waves. The kingdoms—Heart, Spade, Diamond, and Club—stand as banners of hope after a night of devastation left one lone bard to guide the resistance. The fate of the realms rests on rebuilding defenses with a band of unlikely “weirdos,” who prove that strength is not always obvious at first glance.

Core concept revolves around fortifying positions with a deck of defenses, each card carrying a unique effect. Defenses can be assigned to a specific princess, tying the strength of your frontline to her survival. If a princess falls, the defenses tied to her vanish, so every decision matters and every loss has consequences.

  • Deckbuilding meets defense: Build a strategic arsenal of defenses, weapons, and support items to withstand goblin onslaughts. Your deck evolves with every run, pushing you to discover lethal synergies.
  • Weirdos as power players: The strongest fighters are gone, replaced by peculiar allies who, when worked together, unlock powerful combinations. Synergy turns unlikely combinations into decisive weapons on the battlefield.
  • Score-driven rounds: Each round requires reaching a target score to advance. The faster you reach it, the more flexibility you gain for the next encounter.
  • Economic growth from princesses: At the end of each round, the princesses reward you with money to purchase new items. Smart spending fuels stronger defenses and sharper tactics for upcoming waves.
  • Goblin variety and strategic depth: Face multiple goblin types that demand different approaches, weapons, and formations. Adaptation is key to surviving longer and climbing higher scores.
  • Food and fortification: You can buy food to strengthen your princesses, enhancing resilience and battlefield performance between waves.
  • Special rounds: Periodic rounds alter the rules, compelling you to rethink strategies and explore new paths to victory.

The goal is clear: maximize scores, slay the invading goblins, and persevere long enough to safeguard all four kingdoms. With careful planning, a touch of luck, and the right mix of defenses and weirdos, Maiden Hand offers a fresh twist on familiar classics—combining deckbuilding systems with tower defense tactics to deliver a roguelike challenge like no other.
