DA_RL description

DA_RL — Classic Roguelike Dungeon Crawler

DA_RL drops you into a brutal, procedural dungeon where every run is different. You choose a class, then descend through tile‑based, turn‑based levels filled with monsters, loot, and danger at every turn. Hunger presses as you explore, so eating keeps you alive as you push deeper into the unknown.

Five distinct classes, each with a signature playstyle:
• Fighter — tough by default, with one free Second Wind per floor and a reliable 50% heal when things get dire.
• Mage — fragile but with the largest mana pool; spell costs are reduced to enable big spellcasting bursts.
• Rogue — thrives on crits and dodges; landing a hit while invisible deals double damage.
• Cleric — blends combat with Divine Healing that restores 30% of your health on a 10‑turn cooldown.
• Ranger — excels at ranged combat; gains extra reach on every ranged weapon they wield.

DA_RL is rich with items and interactions. Potions can heal, poison, grant invisibility, induce sleep, or cause disturbing visions. Scrolls span from map revealing to teleportation, calling in allies, or instant death if misread. Wands offer limited‑use versions of spells like Fireball or Drain Life. Find spell books, read them, and the spell becomes permanently learned. The full spell roster ranges from basics like Magic Missile and Frost Bolt to epics like Meteor Swarm, Death Ray, and Void Sphere — all gated by mana and cooldowns to reward careful resource management.

Equipment matters: weapons and armor can be enchanted or cursed. A Flaming sword adds fire damage, a Ring of Regeneration heals you passively, and Armor of Protection boosts defense. Beware cursed items that resist removal or skew your stats; the Remove Curse scroll exists for a reason.

The dungeon is alive with danger. Dozens of monster types across multiple families inhabit floors that scale with depth, each family cycling through tiers as you go deeper. Bat families evolve from simple Bats to Vampire and Demon variants; other foes adapt as you descend. Some enemies chase relentlessly, others fight from range or can be charmed into temporary service. Status effects—freeze, burn, poison, confuse, and more—impact both you and your foes.

Every floor is procedurally generated, with rooms, corridors, doors, and loot placed according to depth. The longer you survive, the tougher the encounters and the better the rewards. There is no final floor—only the possibility to go further and farther. Your progress is saved, so you can pick up where you left off.

Key features: 5 playable classes with unique abilities, turn‑based movement, procedurally generated floors, a deep item system (potions, scrolls, wands, spell books, enchantments and curses), 18+ learnable spells, 30+ weapons and armor pieces, multiple ranged weapon types with ammunition, a diverse monster roster, hunger and status effects, field of view mechanics, and a full save system.
