Gunmetal Rails description
Gunmetal Rails is a roguelite bullet hell where you build and arm a locomotive, cart by cart, weapon by weapon, to survive the Wasteland.
Your train is the battlefield: every weapon fires from its real cart position, every cart adds weight, and every slot is a decision. Will you run fast, light guns on two carts or a slow, heavy setup with a legendary cannon? Your build is your survival.
What you do is drag-and-drop cart management between waves, slot weapons, reorder carts, and apply upgrades. Between waves you curate your arsenal from hundreds of upgrade cards and dozens of weapons, each with its own rarity and vibe.
Locomotives
- Iron Horse — balanced all-rounder; hits harder with every added cart.
- Phantom Express — glass cannon: 15% dodge, 15% crit; light carts stay fast, heavy carts unavailable.
- War Rig — slow tank; +5 armor and 10% explosion chance for all weapons; favors heavy carts.
- Scrap Hauler — economy engine; +30% gold, +1 shop card, cheaper prices; but takes 30% less damage.
Carts and Weapons — Choose from three cart types: Light (2 slots), Medium (4 slots), and Heavy (8 slots). Equip hundreds of weapons across multiple rarity tiers, from rapid-fire miniguns to explosive launchers, with each weapon behaving according to its slot and the cart’s weight.
Waves and Enemies — Face endless waves where enemies evolve. Expect healers, bombers, stealth units, and bosses that appear every five waves, testing your loadout and positioning.
Game Loop — An endless survival loop driven by strategic planning and real-time decisions. Speed, power, and durability are dictated by your build, and you adapt to harsher threats with every run.
Endless Challenge — How far can your optimised train take you in continuous waves, with each run offering new combinations and tactics?
Early Access and Community — Gunmetal Rails is actively developed with a community-driven roadmap: more weapons, enemies, and bosses; additional locomotives; improved visuals; and planned co-op multiplayer (2-4 players). The price remains the same, and early supporters get full access while the game evolves through player feedback, with cloud saves and achievements on the horizon.
