The story unfolds twenty years after civilization collapsed. A brief golden era ended with humanity’s first contact with extraterrestrial life. The aliens remain in orbit, attempting to retrofit their mothership for a landing, while scattered human communities struggle to rebuild their world.

Grey Legend: Survivors centers on three interconnected layers, each driven by character management:

• Base building—construct and upgrade a safe haven with workstations, research facilities, and leisure activities to sustain your team.
• Expeditions—venture into ruins to recover lost human and alien technology and uncover the mysteries of a fractured world.
• Tactical missions—engage in controlled combat where every decision carries consequences for your survivors and the wider settlement.

Your survivors are not generic units; they are living characters whose personalities influence actions, reactions, and relationships. Procedurally generated dialogue creates dynamic encounters that ripple through your squad, influencing trust, morale, and future outcomes.

Managing needs, emotions, and interpersonal chemistry is essential. Stress, tedious tasks, and danger affect each survivor differently, so your success hinges on crafting a team that works together—and apart—under pressure.

Social dynamics drive strategy: pairings can form powerful bonds; rescuing a new member may yield loyal allies if the risk pays off; assigning tasks to each survivor’s strengths maximizes efficiency, but the loss of a specialist during an assault leaves a critical skill gap.

The game rewards replayability. Each run unlocks more mysteries, items, research opportunities, and new bases to operate from as you expand your network of settlements.
