Enigmoon is a Metroidvania that blends brain-bending puzzles with free-form exploration under the pressure of dwindling oxygen. The map is vast and interconnected, encouraging experimentation, backtracking, and mastery of new abilities as you uncover pathways and shortcuts. You can roam the moon’s fractured surface and hidden ruins, but every breath matters and every decision can open or close routes.

You play as Commander Trevor, lost on a strange moon that formed in a mysterious way. The world is unforgiving, teeming with hostile creatures and ancient machines that hum with dormant power. Trevor’s mission is clear in motive but not in method: survive long enough to understand the moon’s origins, decipher ancient technology, and find a way home. Each discovery nudges him closer to the truth—and further from safety.

Gameplay emphasizes puzzle-solving integrated into the environment. Expect tricky locks, gravity-shifting rooms, energy conduits, and relics that alter traversal or combat. Relics also fuse with ancient devices, briefly reactivating long-dormant systems that reshape the map. Puzzles become more intricate as new tools unlock, requiring you to think in multiple dimensions: timing, weight, magnetism, and energy flow.
