Alea Jacta Est: Hannibal Terror of Rome description
Hannibal: Terror of Rome Overview
Step into the shoes of ancient commanders in Hannibal: Terror of Rome, a meticulously detailed turn-based strategy game that simulates the complex dynamics of warfare in the historical Mediterranean. Utilizing the acclaimed AGE engine, each turn represents one month, as you navigate through various political, military, and economic conditions while managing your armies.
This expansion emphasizes the roles of smaller states and tribes, such as Capua, Taranto, and Numidia, which were crucial allies in the struggle for supremacy. Engage in five captivating campaigns from 230 to 201 BC, featuring hundreds of historical leaders, units, and events that provide a unique blend of real and hypothetical scenarios.
The game includes impactful campaigns like the First Illyrian War, where you combat aggressive pirates and Greek cities; the Cisalpine War, which pits you against fierce Celtic tribes; and the monumental Second Punic War that shapes the fate of Rome against Carthage. Experience the panic of defeat in the Cannae scenario and witness Scipio Africanus' legendary campaigns against Hannibal in Africa. Dive into the strategic intricacies and shape the future of Rome!
