Your grip is tested as your brother Farouk consolidates influence with the aim of overthrowing you. Will you outmaneuver him and preserve your regime, or watch it all unravel?

International diplomacy adds another layer of risk and opportunity. How you relate to neighboring countries can invite scrutiny from distant powers, including the United States. Will you be a generous donor to the United Nations, or an international pariah secretly pursuing nuclear weapons? Every choice reshapes Basenji’s standing and its destiny.

The game unfolds a world of possibilities. With more than thirty state purchases, six clandestine projects, and eight potential neighbors, you’ll navigate hundreds of randomly generated events. No two campaigns are alike, and a tactic that works once may fail the next time. Relationships are nuanced far beyond simple war or peace; forging unlikely alliances can keep your leadership from triggering wars you cannot survive.

Lead through governance as you choose and equip cabinet leaders to manage the country. Earn their trust by achieving targeted objectives, then leverage alliances, cultivate tourism, and expand trade. Your options also include more aggressive moves: invade rivals, assassinate opponents, or even secretly pursue nuclear capabilities to reshape the regional balance.
