Set in a sprawling and decaying dark fantasy world, Atonement: Scourge of Time invites players into a realm devastated by the absence of leadership and law for over 400 years. Following the death of the last king, society fractured into smaller settlements, while lawlessness prevailed. In this tumultuous environment, the Holy Order of Atonement strives to maintain unity, but their influence is limited. Rumors of a "Vindicator"—a legendary figure destined to punish the land's sins—further contribute to the rising tension. Players can choose between two unique protagonist teams, each with distinct perspectives as their narratives intertwine.
