War for the Overworld - Heart of Gold Expansion description

War for the Overworld - Heart of Gold Expansion

The empire lies in disarray following the Emperor's disappearance, and the balance of power teeters in favor of ambitious Underlords. In the Heart of Gold Expansion, you step into the shoes of rival Underlord Kasita, guided by the witty and sardonic Mendechaus (voiced by Richard Ridings). Set in the rich, volcanic dukedom of Phaestus, players seek to satiate their ambitions for wealth and power.

Rumors swirl in the Underworld that Kasita's heart is a massive gemstone, with molten gold flowing through her subterranean veins, hinting at a brewing gold rush of greed. Heart of Gold expands the narrative with four explosive new Campaign levels, each fully voice-acted and designed based on player feedback, offering more open-ended gameplay than its predecessor.

New mechanics introduce four powerful Aspects to master: Sentinel (defense), Gild (spell), Aureate Monolith (construct), and a golden Titan, the Colossus. Explore a fresh Dungeon Theme for Kasita, complete with a new Dungeon Core and unique aesthetics. The expansion also accompanies patch 1.4, delivering extensive gameplay improvements, dynamic tutorials, revamped combat systems, enhanced AI, and more. Prepare for an ambitious journey as you carve your legacy in the Underworld!
