THE LONGING description
THE LONGING
In THE LONGING, you step into the role of a lonely Shade, the last remaining servant of a once-mighty underground king. As the king falls into a deep slumber to regain his powers, you are left to navigate a vast, beautifully hand-drawn cave for 400 days. This unique blend of adventure and idle gaming counts down the days continuously, even when you’re away from the game.
Your journey is filled with choices: will you explore the intricate caves and gather items for your cozy underground living space, or will you choose to simply wait until the time runs out? You can take leisurely strolls, read classic literature from authors like Nietzsche and Melville, or heed the king’s commands—or ignore them altogether and venture into the dark, dangerous realms beyond.
Featuring a captivating Dungeon Synth soundtrack, various endings, and a plethora of hidden secrets, THE LONGING invites you to find meaning in solitude. How will you occupy your time in this atmospheric world? The choice is yours.
