The North Jersey Coast Line (NJCL) of NJ TRANSIT® offers a vibrant and historical rail experience, connecting New York City with the scenic Jersey Shore. Spanning over 70 route miles, the line runs from the iconic Penn Station in Manhattan to the classic Hoboken Terminal and onward to Bay Head, New Jersey.
Trains operate over Amtrak's electrified Northeast Corridor to Rahway before transitioning to the historic New York & Long Branch route along the Atlantic coastline, passing through notable towns such as South Amboy and Long Branch. The NJ TRANSIT service is one of the busiest in North America, catering to around 300,000 passengers each weekday.
This add-on features the innovative Bombardier ALP-45DP locomotive, capable of operating on both electric and diesel power, reaching speeds over 100 mph. Players can also utilize the NJT Comet IV coaches, drivable Comet V Cab Car, and MultiLevel Cars for authentic operations.
The add-on includes seven Career Scenarios and four Railfan Mode scenarios, offering a range of engaging experiences. With additional scenarios available through Steam Workshop, the North Jersey Coast Line Route Add-On ensures countless hours of immersive gameplay.
