Train Simulator: North London Line Route Add-On description

Train Simulator: North London Line Route Add-On

The North London Line Route Add-On for Train Simulator brings one of the UK's busiest commuter routes vividly to life, covering approximately 17 miles between Richmond and Stratford. As a vital part of the London Overground network, this route features frequent services every 15 minutes, catering to heavy commuter traffic and supporting key freight connections throughout the inner suburbs of London.

Despite its short length, the route boasts a densely packed urban landscape with 23 stations, necessitating over an hour for trains to traverse it while making all stops. The North London Line's history stretches back to 1846, with various sections opening over 25 years. Today, it primarily features 25kV AC overhead catenary and a third-rail system in different stretches, accommodating modern electric trains such as the Class 378 ‘Capitalstar’ EMU.

This add-on includes standard British LED signaling, replicating the operational characteristics of the line today. Players can immerse themselves in seven engaging scenarios, ranging from early morning runs to freight hauls. Quick Drive compatibility and additional scenarios available from Steam Workshop further enhance gameplay, making it an essential addition for any Train Simulator enthusiast.
